About Me

Biography

Hi! I’ve been teaching Group Exercise and Dance Classes for over 15 years, and I’m absolutely passionate about everything to do with health, wellness, and movement. I have a B.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis on Athletic Training, and I love using my knowledge to help people feel their best, whether in a dance class or one-on-one training.

Along the way, I’ve explored a variety of movement disciplines that keep me excited and always learning. From Aerial Yoga and Pilates to Martial Arts like Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Capoeira, I’m constantly seeking new ways to move and grow. My true love, though, is Dance! I’ve trained in Tahitian, Afro-Brazilian, Afro-Haitian, and of course, Samba. In fact, I’ve had the honor of being crowned “Queen of Carnaval” in both San Francisco (2010) and Santa Barbara (2013), and I still get to train with incredible teachers like Alex Coutinho and Jorge Amarelloh, the Directors of G.R.E.S. Paraíso do Tuiuti. I even get to parade with them in Rio for Carnaval!

As a Personal Trainer, my approach is all about prehab and mobility. I believe in building personalized programs that focus on preventing injuries, improving flexibility, strength, and correcting movement dysfunctions. I take pride in getting to know each of my clients and creating a plan that fits their unique lifestyle, needs, and goals.
